Prof. Dr. Yüksel Yurttaş Meets Fitbone Developer Prof. Rainer Baumgart at Türkiye Launch

Prof. Dr. Yüksel Yurttaş attended the Fitbone Türkiye launch in Istanbul, where he met with Prof. Rainer Baumgart, the developer of the Fitbone fully internal limb lengthening system.

Fitbone is one of the established technologies used in modern limb lengthening and deformity correction surgery. The system allows controlled bone lengthening through an internal motorized nail, without the need for an external fixation frame in selected cases.

Prof. Dr. Yurttaş has used Fitbone for many years in deformity correction cases, particularly in patients requiring precise internal lengthening, alignment correction, and careful surgical planning. His experience with internal lengthening systems forms part of his broader work in limb reconstruction, stature lengthening, and complex orthopedic correction.

The meeting with Prof. Baumgart focused on surgical experience, technological development, and the future role of fully internal systems in limb reconstruction.
